PETER ROESNER Obituary

PETER L. ROESNER II, of Petoskey, Mich., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Community Heart and Vasc ular Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. Born July 26, 1963, in Winchester, Ind., he was a son of Peter and Rebecca (Roleson) Roesner. Peter grew up in Muncie, Ind., and spent summers with his family in the Little Traverse Bay area of Northern Michigan. He graduated from Muncie Northside High School in 1981 and attended college at Purdue University and Hanover College, where he graduated with a BA in Business Administration in 1986. Peter was a member of the FIJI Fraternity at both Purdue University, Lambda Iota Chapter and Hanover College, Tau Chapters (two year President). Peter later married Debra (Nelson) Roesner in 1998 and together they raised a son, Peter L. Roesner III of Harbor Springs, Mich. Peter dedicated his professional career to various areas of business, later following his passion to become an entrepreneur; launching new business ventures in both Fort Wayne and Petoskey, Mich. Peter was an enthusiast of powerboating, downhill skiing, motorcycling, and taking beach vacations. He particularly enjoyed socializing with friends and family around the firepit at his home, overlooking Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey, Mich. He is survived by his wife, Debra (Nelson) Roesner; son, Peter L. Roesner III; father, Peter L. Roesner I and Ron Tedeschi; and brothers, David Brandon (spouse J.J.) Roesner and John Franklin (spouse Kristin Adams) Roesner, and their children, Nina and Adam Roesner. Peter was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Rebecca and George (Butch) Rodgers. "Peter impacted many lives with his generosity and fun-loving spirit and will be forever missed." Funeral service is 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46804), with viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, Mich.
