RAY E. ASHBAUGH

RAY E. ASHBAUGH, 96, of Lake Township, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Kingston Care Center. Born in Van Wert, Ohio, he was a retired Lake Township farmer. He was a member of Lake Chapel United Methodist Church and served on the board of directors of Allen Dairy for many years. Surviving are children, Don (Judy) Ashbaugh of Fort Wayne, Larry (Cynthia) Ashbaugh of Columbia City and Sue (Mark) Loebert of Roanoke; sisters, Pat Hardy of Roanoke and Betty Tracey of Grover Hill, Ohio; brother, Dana Ashbaugh of Florida; grandchildren, John Ashbaugh, Lori (Paul) Nunley, Melissa (Larry) Ice, Amy (James) Goodwin, and Ben (Megan) Ashbaugh; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. (Craft) Ashbaugh, in 2007; parents, Alva and Marvel (Shaw) Ashbaugh; and brother, Carroll Ashbaugh. Service is 10 a.m. Friday at Lake Chapel United Methodist Church, 8205 Butt Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastors Donna Gammon, Harold Klinker and Marilyn Dunton officiating.
