Robert Pierce Obituary

ROBERT C. PIERCE, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Harborside Hea-lthcare Center. Born Feb. 15, 1915, in Fort Wayne, he was employed at Wayne Pump as a machinist, retiring in 1973. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 499. "He was an avid I.U. fan." Survived by son, Robert F. (Terri) Pierce of Fort Wayne; daughter, Cathy Fort of Mainstee, Mich.; grandchildren, Brian Prudlow, Daniel Prudlow, Andrew Rodgers and Nicholas Rodgers, Meladie Pierce and Molly Pierce; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Wagner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L., in 1985. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Kidney Foundation.
