Condolences to the Pio family. My sisters and I grew up in the neighborhood. We lived on Dodge Ave west of Crescent Ave. later we lived on Florida Drive. So Pio's was a great part of our lives growing up. I remember back when the State Street Theatre was right across the parking lot. We used to be fascinated with Bob putting up the specials on the outside of the market. They were always so kind to the children from the area. They worked their tails off too. It was a great time and important part of my youth. I always called him Mr. Pio even after I was old enough that he wouldn't have minded me calling him Bob. Rest in peace Mr. Pio!
