Ronald W. Shephard

Ronald W. "Ron" Shephard, 76, of New Haven, went to join his wife on September 28, 2025, He was born in Tell City, IN on February 14, 1949. For most of his life, he worked in the restaurant industry. Ron owned multiple restaurants for 20 years. He was a manager for Lee's Famous Recipe for several years and most recently retired from FXI. Ron enjoyed music, camping and loved his family and dogs. Ron is survived by his children, Ronnie (Gayle) Shephard, Dax (Stephanie) Shephard, Toby (Melissa) Shephard, Tara (Ben) Meyer, and CiGi (Aaron) Zehner; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Kaylor and Linda Paulsen; brother-in-law, Kent Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Hilda (Reed) Fox; sister, Brenda Smith; and nephew, Bruce Smith. Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Service (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). Visitation will also be on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
