Ronald Wurst Obituary

Ronald Joseph Wurst, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on November 24, 2025, at 5:35 PM at Kingston at Dupont (Memory Care Center). He was born on July 1, 1944, in San Pedro, California, to the late Edmund & Rose Mary (Grothaus) Wurst. On November 4, 1967, he married the love of his life, Carol Miller. Together, they shared 58 years of memories. He earned a Master's Degree from St. Francis College, Fort Wayne, and retired from GTE after 34 years as a Cost Accountant. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He is survived by his wife, Carol of Fort Wayne; son, Charles (Katharine) Wurst; daughter: Renee (Colby) Clauss; and son, Timothy (Trina) Wurst; brother: Roch (Phoebe) Wurst; sisters: Anne Leah Stegaman, Marge (Marvin) Ricker; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kay Stegaman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Scheidt celebrating. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 PM on Monday, December 01, 2025, with rosary and prayers at 3PM, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home 1986 W. Cedar Canyon Road, Huntertown, IN 46748. Memorials: St. Vincent de Paul Society, Heart to Heart Hospice and/or Hope Children's Home, Tampa, FL
