ROSEMARY J. REITZ

ROSEMARY J. REITZ, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018, at her residence. Born June 6, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Jewel M. (Tyring) Reitz. Rosemary earned a Master's degree in education from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for the Fort Wayne school district. Rosemary is survived by her sisters, Jewel (Geoff) England of Menifee, Calif., and Patricia (Stanley) Pecora of Bradford, Pa.; brother, William "Bill" (Kathy) Reitz of Downingtown, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and her loving and dedicated caregivers, who were her Fort Wayne family, Jeannie Golembiewski, Cindy Cristo and Juel Blauvelt, all of Fort Wayne. Rosemary was also preceded in death by her three beloved furry children, Maxi, Lillie and Max. Mass of Christian Burial Celebration is 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 226 N. Hill St., South Bend, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Daniel Ponisciak, C.S.C., officiating.Friends may also visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. A graveside service and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in South Bend. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rosemary may be donated to Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 4914 S.
