Sandra Kaye Schelm

Sandra Kaye Schelm, 79, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away on February 2, 2026, . She was born on May 8, 1946, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Isadore and Velma Roy. She graduated from Central Catholic High School. Sandra married the love of her life, Richard "Bruce" Schelm on June 12, 1971, and were married almost 49 years. She was the office manager for Rustic Hutch in Fort Wayne, for over 30 years. Sandra loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Holly) Schelm of Leo, IN; Stephanie (Jason) Wilson of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Ellenor (Dylan) May, Madelyn, Cannan and Stella Schelm, siblings, Jim Roy and Joan Penningroth, both of Angola, IN. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Richard Schelm, May 23, 2020, and their infant daughter, Michelle Renee Schelm, brothers, Louie and Tom Roy. The family would like to thank Luminary Hospice and a special thank you to Shandi Mertil, Sandra's primary caregiver for her care and compassion. Funeral service will be 10:00 am. Tuesday February 17, 2026, at D.O McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-7 pm. Monday February 16, 2026, at the funeral home. Committal and burial at Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, IN. Memorials may be made to Luminary Hospice of Fort Wayne.
