SCOTT EDWARD McGHEE, 28, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, in Steuben County. Born Oct. 5, 1989, in Leesburg, Va., he was a son of Edward G. and Susan E. (Whitcomb) McGhee. He was a 2009 graduate of Carroll High School, Fort Wayne. Scott served in the U.S. Army for five years. He worked for AP Alternatives, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio as a Site Superintendent. He enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles and spending time with friends. Scott is survived by his mother, Susan McGhee (fianc‚ Steve Weekley) of Grabill; father, Edward McGhee of Corunna; two sisters, Jessica E. (Justin) Stephenson of Fort Wayne, Kaitlyn G. (Cody) Pingree of Huntertown; grandparents, Rex E. and Martha Whitcomb of Angola, Linda McGhee of Noblesville, Ind.; and one niece. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Andrew McGhee. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at The Rusty Spur, 10350 Leo Road, Fort Wayne, with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Army at 6 p.m. Per Scott's wishes cremation will follow. Memorial donations in memory of Scott E. McGhee may be directed to the McGhee family to help with expenses in the care of his mother, Susan McGhee or the Wounded Warrior Project.
