TODD L. BEARMAN

TODD L. BEARMAN, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at his residence. Born in Adams County, Ind., on July 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Elmer F. and Pearl G. (Heckler) Bearman. On May 28, 1966, he married Betty J. Oehler. He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest, where he held various offices throughout the years. He was a 1963 graduate of Hoagland High School. Todd was a toolmaker and had worked at Harvester for 19 years and then at G.M. for 20 years, retiring in 2006. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed farming and fishing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and also enjoyed coaching his sons' teams. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Todd and Betty cherished their over 20 summers with family and friends on Lake Matinenda in Ontario, Canada. Todd is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Bearman of Fort Wayne; three children, Wade (Shannon) Bearman of Hoagland, Greg (Deb) Bearman of Hoagland and Elizabeth Bearman of Fort Wayne; a brother, Rev. Dean R. (Laura) Bearman of Greenfield, Ind.; a sister, Mary Ann (Steve) Bruick of Hoagland; two sisters-in-law, Jean Bearman of Monroeville and Barb Bearman of Lake James; and four grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson, Braden and Kyle. Todd was preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn and Ned Bearman. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest, 9909 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021, at the church. Burial will take place in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Soest at a later date.
