TORRENCE J. SMITH

TORRENCE J. SMITH, 52, of Columbia City, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He graduated from Churubusco High School, and was an active member of Fort Wayne F.O.P. He spent recent years maintaining and improving Rainbow Acres family property. He was a self-employed landscaper. Throughout his life he resided in Miami, Fla., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and New York City. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Smith; niece, Melissa Smith,; and great-nephews, Gage and Trycen Smith of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by a sister, Christina Smith; and father, James J. Smith. "Torrence had a kind heart and was a helpful, great son. Love, Mother". Service is 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, with visitation two hours prior, at Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society, 4602 Newaygo Rd. Fort Wayne, Ind.
