VERA M. CHAPMAN, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, 5:10 p.m., at Glen-brook Rehabilitation. Born Jan. 8, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Clara Kintz and the late Alexander Betley. She was a homemaker and member of North Christian Church. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Chapman; brothers, Thoedore P. Betley and Bill Betley; and her dearly beloved cats, Little One and Isis. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Peggy Edge officiating. Calling also from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
