VERA M. HORTON

VERA M. HORTON, 82, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. She was born on July 15, 1930, in Wynne, Ark. Surviving are her son, Jerry (Marva) Horton of Marion, Ind.; daughters, Ruthie M. Butler and Dorothy M. Horton, both of Denver, Colo. and Dolly M. (Willie) Bell of Fort Wayne; brothers, Major Thomas and Ralph Thomas, both of Wynne, Ark and Herman Thomas of Marion, Ind.; sister, Lillie M. Lindsey of Marion, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at True Love Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Ind. Arrangements by Carmichael Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to the Diabetes Foundation, Heartland Hospice Care of Fort Wayne and True Love Missionary Baptist Church.
