Victoria Blain Obituary
Victoria was born on August 19, 1946 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was the daughter of Anthony and Doris (Marcile) DeRose.
Vicki graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1964. She wed Carl Blain on April 19, 1970 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven.
She was employed by several Maloley's and SuperValu stores from the 1960s to 1990s. She then went on to work in Central Files at Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana until her retirement.
She also spent many years volunteering in the community for the Harlan Park Athletic Association and Harlan Community Association.
Surviving are her husband, Carl; daughter Alicia (Ben) Baumgartner and grandchildren Giana Hostetler and Augustus Baumgartner. She is also survived by her brothers, Anthony DeRose and Michael (Jane) DeRose and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Max (Linda) Blain; and nieces and nephews Shane Burkhardt, Michael (Sandra) DeRose, Jason DeRose, Rick Blain, Gregg Blain, James Blain, and Stacey Blain.
Celebration of Life Service is Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putnam St., Fort Wayne IN, 46808, Pastor David Abbott officiating. Lunch will be served at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the education of Giana and Augustus c/o Trinity United Methodist Church.

My condolences to Vicki´s family. We were classmates at CC and sang in the Concert Choir together. We hung out quite a bit during those years and we even doubled at our Senior Prom! I had lost track of her over the years as our lives took totally different paths. I treasure the memories we made together all those decades ago and may treasured memories sustain her family and loved ones in the coming days. Rest in power, dear lady.
