WAYNE H. IMBODY

WAYNE H. IMBODY, 88, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, June 17, 2011, 3:08 p.m., at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born July 28, 1922, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late William Harrison Imbody and Iva (Ostrander). He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; was a member of American Legion Post 296 and Emmanuel Lutheran Church; and volunteered at The Embassy Theater. He was a purchasing agent at Container Corp, retiring after 34 years of service in 1984. Surviving are his wife, Pauline (Hugenell) Imbody of Fort Wayne; daughter, Karen (Ken) Wiley of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Warren (Roxana) Imbody of Churubusco and Ronald Imbody of Ossian; sister, Helen Ramsey of Delta, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Vicar Tony Booker officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
