WILLIAM BRENIZER Obituary

WILLIAM "LEO" H.J. BRENIZER, 92, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Leo worked as an inspector with Zollner Corp. for 36 years, retiring in 1980. He was also a member of Maumee Lodge No. 725 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine. Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Jean (Richard) Zych of Fort Wayne and Jane Diane (Hank) Bittmann of Niceville, Fla.; sister, Kathleen (Wally) Fritz of Syracuse; grandchildren, Valerie Jean (Fred) Grant, Andrea Diane (Scott) Keim, Richard Albert Leo (Helen) Zych, Victoria Lisa (Chad) Neace and Henry Michael (Suzie) Bittmann; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda G. Brenizer; parents, Clarence and Bertha Brenizer; one brother; and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 2 p.m. Thursday at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. Robert Schulte officiating. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church, Shiner's Hospitals for Children or Masses.
