Willis Eugene "Bill" Brand, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on February 20, 2024, he was born on May 19, 1938 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Willis H. and Margaret L. Brand. He retired from St. Francis University. His hobbies included family, Bible study, wildlife, small engine repair, and spending time at his farm. Bill was a member at Faith Baptist Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving family include his sons, Stewart (Eileen) and Charles; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Naomi Nancy Brand; and sister, Patricia "Patty" Glover. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairfield Center Cemetery, rural Corunna, Indiana. Charles and Stewart,
I am so sorry that I just received word about both your Mother and Father. We had no idea that they had passed or we would have been there at both funerals. Your dad was a cousin to my sister Diana and I, and I thought the world of both your mom and dad. Please accept our condolences and prayers as you navigate the difficult days ahead. Your Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Willis were among my very favorites as well. Grandpa Willis married me and sang at my wedding and of course your Grandma Margaret played. I remember how your dad loved his farm and I remember you boys. Sorry we didn't do a better job of staying in touch. We have a wonderful heritage!
