Peace hath here found harbourage mild as very sleep:
Not the hills and waters, the fields and wildwood bowers,
Smile or speak more tenderly, clothed with peace more deep,
Here than memory whispers of days our memories keep
Fast with love and laughter and dreams of withered hours.
Bright were these as blossom of old, and thought endears
Still the fair soft phantoms that pass with smiles or tears,
Sweet as roseleaves hoarded and dried wherein we trace
Still the soul and spirit of sense that lives and cheers:
Dawn and noon and sunset are one before thy face.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was definitely one of those kind souls. I don't think anyone who crossed her path at Nottingham Elem could forget the leprechaun stories. I am grateful for being one of the lives she touched.

Dear Paul & Family, I was so very shocked and sorry to hear the sad news of Melissa's passing. I "met" her on the IW Friends list and later chatted back 'n forth on several IW lists. She was like a sister to us and always made us laugh, cry and think. She will be greatly missed. Patty Storkel in Oregon

Ban, we never met in person, but through the lists and privately became good friends. You can not imagine how much you are going to be missed. Your great personality and caring shown in everything you did. And talk about entertaining well, your stories left us all from tears to raucous laughter. Paul, we came to love you also, through Ban. Condolences seems such a stiff word, but they are sent as well as prayers for you and the family. God speed Ban.

We first "met" on the old Irish Wolfhound lists, then later at IW specialties. I always knew that if I saw her, she would make me feel welcome. When we exchanged ideas on FB, we found that we generally agreed, but whether or not she agreed with you, she was always kind, always. We spoke on the phone recently for quite a while and I always felt that she was just "over there" ready with advice, support and kindness, always kindness. I couldn't believe the news that she was gone. It just couldn't be true. I will miss her terribly.
My deepest condolences to her family, especially Paul. God give you peace and comfort you. She is still just "over there." We will see her again.

I never met you in real life, but you were as real as real can be.
You were more than an Internet friend, more than a Facebook friend, more than a Farmville friend.
You were good, and true, and honest. I loved your stories, your anecdotes, and I loved learning from you.
I miss you.
I'll always miss you.
Thank you ... just for being you.

Paul and Family. Melissa has been a friend since the early 90s with our Irish Wolfhounds when Iwane was still held in Keene, NH. To say I am sorry would be an understatement. She will be missed in the iw world and I know she will be horribly missed in your family. I am so glad i got to visit with you both last weekend. My condolences to you all.

Ah, Bannie.... you've been released from your physical limitations and frailties and now stand strong, before God, as He intended. I am convinced you've taken this change of circumstance with the same indomitable, pragmatic spirit we all love. I do hope it would be so, though I find it hard to imagine how you could exist anywhere without your family, such a big, big part of your life, and especially without Paul, such a big, big part of your heart. I do hope, dear Ban, that you find new stars to twirl under and a moon that might bring a tiny bit of magic so you might still comfort those as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of such loving wife, a proud and supportive mother and doting grandmother and ever faithful friend. Slan, until we meet again.

I am so going to miss our on line chats. We spoke of donkey care and Bannie always had good advice to share. Her stories would always make you smile - and yes Paul, usually they were about you. She was a kind and loving soul. She will be missed by many. I am hoping she is reunited with Phyl, a long time friend. Hugs to the Anderson family as they will feel the void every day. Miss you already friend.
