I remember Mr C from ASMC his first year there, 1976. I learned so much from him that he could've been the excuse I stayed in music. That was not the case, but I still remember what I learned from him that year. Sincerely, Don de Hagara, SgtMaj, USMC (ret)

I met Mr C. at Amherst Summer Music Festival in 1976, and learned more from him in a summer than from everyone else the ten years prior. What a music man!

I played in Mr. Castiglione ‘s Wind Ensemble at the Philadelphia Musical Academy from 1970 through 1972. He was very knowledgeable and knew how to inspire and relate to students so that they performed at their best. He was a great man and teacher. My deepest condolences to his family

Laurel, you have my deepest sympathy. "Mr. C" was an inspiration to me and was instrumental in the advancement of my career as a symphony violinist. He was a life-long friend and mentor. I will always remember our orchestra rehearsals and theory classes at South Philadelphia High School. I will miss the many wonderful phone conversations we had over the years. May he rest in peace and may the loving memories of him comfort you at this sad time. Love, Richard and Cathy DiAdamo
