Robert Conwell Obituary
He was born on Oct. 17, 1943 in Salem, Mass.; the son of Henry and Wilma (Joy) Conwell.
Bob went to St. James Pickering and Salem High as a child. He was in the Air Force and did basic training at Lackland Airforce Base in Texas served his country in England.
He worked at GE in Lynn, Mass. where he received an award for designing a piece for a plane engine.
As a child he enjoyed spending time with his grandfathers and bringing home stray dogs. Bob enjoyed doing puzzles, being outdoors, working in the garden, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by first wife and current fiancé, Joanne Sanchez; his daughters, Anne Rathe and her husband Norman Rathe of Nottingham, N.H., and Debra Conwell of Ipswich, Mass.; his sister, Cynthia Conwell of Houston, Texas, and brother, Ronnie Conwell and his wife, Jean from Port St. Lucy, Fla. formerly of Peabody Mass.; five grandchildren, Tabatha Allard and her husband Jason of Newbury, Mass., Ryan, Paul and Danielle Rathe of Nottingham, N.H. and Alicia Gardner of Raymond, Maine.; two great grandchildren Leila and Ty Allard of Newbury, Mass. and Bryce Jarvis of Raymond, Maine; nieces and nephews; and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, and baby sister, Brenda Halpern of Peabody, Mass.
Flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to a charity of one's choice.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Rt 4, Lee, N.H. 03861 with Deacon Robert Gagnon, officiating. A reception will follow in the downstairs of the Chapel.
