ISAIAH ALVAREZ Obituary

ISAIAH ALVAREZ Isaiah Five Alvarez was born on August 9th, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado to Stephanie Janssen and Hilario Alvarez. Five was welcomed by all the saints and angels into his eternal home on June 6th, 2023. Five was the fifth of 5 children. His unique name comes from his mother's love of the number 5. At some point each of the other children were going to acquire the name "Five", but God always put a different name to their faces. It wasn't until Five was conceived that his father said, "Here is our little number 5, our Isaiah Five", and the rest is history. Five has become known by several names as his life progressed; Carlos, because his sister Olivia, insisted that he be named Carlos. I5, because those were his initials. McLovin, because he was the biggest lover you would ever get to know. 6 minus 1, because Mr. Bates had to give Five a hard time just as Five gave him a hard time. From the beginning of Five's little life, he was his brothers' and sisters' biggest fan. Within days of his birth he was already in a gym supporting the Fowler Grizzlies. As he grew, he became an athlete of his own, playing soccer and baseball for the Grizzlies. Five could walk into any gym in the valley and you felt as though you were walking with a celebrity. He was known and loved by everyone that frequented a gym or ball field. Five's next love was fishing. He would love when his dad would gather the kids and they would just go up the road and fish off the bridge into Bob Creek. He even convinced his brother, Bubba, on numerous occasions to pack a little backpack and snacks to walk him down to Bob Creek and they could explore for hours. But Five's most inspirational characteristic would be his love for God. Five and his family were members of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway. That was his home away from home. In his five short years on this Earth, he managed to gain the love from several priests beginning with Father Paul Ekeh. Father Soosai and Father Joseph would also have the chance to meet Five and gain a special relationship. There was just something about his spirit that drew these Godly men close to him and his family. Five was the biggest proclaimer of the "Gloria". He sang with his whole heart and the entire congregation could hear his love for God. He always wanted to be an altar server like his big brothers and sisters and Ms. Diane was working hard to make that happen this coming year. Five is survived by his parents, Hilario and Stephanie, his siblings, Olivia, Demetrius, Syriah, and Hilario Ajj{e'} of the family home. Maternal grandparents, Don & Monica Terrones-Janssen. Uncles Freddie (Chamonix) Janssen of Ridgecrest, CA, Jarrod (Angelina) Janssen of Pueblo, and Ray Terrones of La Junta, Demetrius (Michelle) Chavez of Montrose, Aunts Sonia (Ray) Rubalcaba of Montrose, Angelina (Fred) Valencia of Montrose, Kathleen (Staley) Sorenson of Montrose, and his Godparents Nino Mark & Nina Liz Salinas of Crowley, and numerous cousins and close friends. Five is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Camilo & Ruth Terrones, paternal grandparents Hilario & Mary Ann Alvarez. A Vigil Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ordway.
