Shellie Rowell Obituary
Shellie G. Rowell, Jr., 74, of Carrabelle, passed away on February 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Shellie was a lifelong resident of Carrabelle. He was a Marine Patrol Officer for 32 years. He also worked for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the Carrabelle Police Department, the Tallahassee Police Department, and the Leon County Sheriff's Office. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He loved to fish, especially bream fishing in the Crooked River. He also loved to hunt. His favorite past time was spending time with his beloved grandson, Tyler.
Shellie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Edie Rowell; children, Courtney Rowell (Bennie) and Joseph Rowell (Dena); and grandson, Tyler Rowell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shellie Rowell, Sr. and Thelma Rowell and his sister, Beverly Clarke.
There will be Celebration of Shellie's Life at a later date.
