We were so sorry to learn about the death of your mother. We send our sincere thoughts and prayers to the entire Lancaster family. As the purchasers of your family home on Detrick Road, we were fortunate to meet all of you throughout the Detrick Road years we spent together. What a great family! We kept in touch, exchanging notes and cards until she became too ill. What a fun loving, wise lady she was! We will always have many fond memories.

Bernadette,
My beloved friend, I miss knowing that I’m not able to greet you with a sisterly kiss ,and to see your smiling face. I’m so thankful we were brought together in a season of life to help each other in spirit and physical needs. You taught me so much wisdom, gave me laughter, prayed fervently for so many to get answered prayers. God heard every prayer, and we know that He won’t forget those prayers that you left behind. Thank you! Your last days on earth were difficult. I’ll never forget that last special day that we had together. You taught me much from our Heavenly Fathers heart. Compassion and Love invaluable. You always said: “preach the gospel always, and use words if you must. “
I love you and will see you soon!

Aunt Bern, we will all miss you and your wonderful spirit. Your strength and courage through all trials and tribulations were admirable. I recall visits to your home as a child. The atmosphere was full of fun and laughter, especially with 16 kids from 2 families!! Best to the entire Lancaster extended family. Marie Guay and Stephen Brennan

Our prayers and condolences are with the entire Lancaster family at the loss of their kind and thoughtful Matriarch. We have fond memories of Mrs. Lancaster from church as well as from visits to her home. We are sorry to miss her viewing and funeral mass as we are traveling, but our loving thoughts will be with you all!

Aunt Bern, What a special & important role you played in so many lives, family & friends far & wide. You were the best storyteller, and an even better listener - truly interested in others lives and made you feel your undivided attention and interest in what you had to say. You helped counsel me personally in a difficult time in my life and were my 1st labor coach with my son. I will be forever grateful to you. A truly giving soul and pure of heart. And on top of all that, the very best sense of humor! There will be a huge hole in all of our hearts, but I know now there is a great gathering, and storytelling and laughter, with your siblings, and family members welcoming you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and wish I could be there to share this with them. God bless. Love you much, Aunt Bern.

Aunt Bern, you are one of a kind and will be sorely missed. You had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. You were always so happy to see me or hear from me and I will cherish forever some of those conversations. Your love of God and mankind merits a special place in heaven and now you can join your siblings and parents there. Rest In Peace dear Aunt.
