Beverly Charles Obituary
Beverly was a graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. She worked at College View Nursing home for almost 20 years and Frederick Memorial Hospital. She often attended Thomas Tabernacle Church with Sister Ida Rollins. She loved football (especially the Redskins), Bingo and traveling.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 sons, Samuel Charles Jr. (Heather), Derrick Charles, & Christopher Alexander; stepson, Michael Alexander; 4 sisters, Renee Dorsey, Michelle Boyce (John), Nikita, and Carol; 7 brothers, Rodney Dorsey (Tracey), Mike Dorsey (Tina), Glen, Robert, Atlas, Randy Parker, and Michael Boyd; 4 grandchildren, Samuel Charles III, DeVante Charles, Jaelyn, & Deidra Charles; special nieces; and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Marlon Alexander; brother, Jesse "Jack" Dorsey; sister, Terri Boyce; 2 uncles, Gilmore Dorsey and Roger James; and 2 aunts Jane Dorsey and Harriet "Betty" James.
Services will be held Sat., Mar. 28, 2015, at Jackson Chapel UMC, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD. Public viewing is at 9 a.m., family receives friends at 10 a.m. and the funeral begins at 11 a.m. Pastor Rex Bowens Sr. officiating. Interment is private. Sam, Derrick and Chris, and to the entire family of Bev's. You have my most deepest sympathy. I have known Bev for many, many years. It has been awhile since I've seen Bev, but I still remember the soft tone always spoken in her voice and her continuous smile. Bev was the type of person that this world could use more like her of!
