Brian had a irreverent sense of humor, great taste in music, intellectual curiosity and was an underrated athlete. Brian was a member of the 1977 State runner up soccer team and a great teammate who would wear you out in practice. He was proud of his father’s role in the Burma theatre during WW2. (Once he showed me a history book in the Middletown High library that had his Dad’s picture in it with some captured Japanese!) The world is a much less colorful place without you, Brian, and you will never be forgotten.

I am so sad to hear this news. Brian and I were high school sweethearts and lost contact many years ago. I have many fond memories of him. He introduced me to rock and roll music and the wilder side of life which I now thank him for after all this time. I only wish I could have thanked him for this during his life. I know he is at peace and I wish that peace for all who knew and loved him.

I only knew Brian through social media yet I feel I knew him as a close friend. We were in boot camp the same time and though our MOS's were different we served at many of the same duty stations at the same time. We frequented the same watering holes and share many of the same memories. Some may say I did not know him, but I knew him. I suppose he was a typical young Marine for that time. A little rough around the edges, no better friend, and fiercely loyal to the best that our nation has ever represented or has to offer. And he is missed. My sincere condolences to family and friends. I hope to see you on the other side Brian. We can share old stories and make new ones. Semper Fi my brother.
