Carol Wright Obituary
She was born on January 21, 1959, to Anne Eubank and the late George Eubank. Carol was also predeceased by her brother Carter Eubank. She was the beloved wife of Jeff Wright for 33 years.
Carol was a graduate of Brookfield High School in Lynchburg, VA and a 1981 graduate of Radford College in Radford, VA. Carol was a flight attendant for most of her adult live. She started her career at Air Virginia based in Lynchburg, VA, in October 1981-1984. She then started with Piedmont Airlines initially based in Norfolk, VA in 1985. Carol met her future husband, Jeff Wright, a pilot for Piedmont Airlines in 1986. Carol and Jeff married on April 21, 1990. After a series of airline mergers, Carol wound up flying for American Airlines where she would finally take her last flight.
Carol was a member of the Clopper-Michael Post #10 American Legion in Boonsboro, MD She was passionate about her family, friends, and living life to the fullest. Carol love spending her summers in Ocean City, MD and traveling around the world. Her greatest passion was always being there to support and cheer on her daughter, Haley, as a student-athlete at the University of Alabama.
In addition to her husband, Jeff Wright, she is survived by her daughter, Haley Wright, her mother, Anne Eubank, nephew, Elliott Wright, niece Brandee Eubank, childhood best friend, Tammy Bryant, and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 30 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. Funeral services will also be held at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home on Saturday, July 1, at 12:00 PM. Following the services, a gathering will be held at the Boonsboro American Legion for a celebration of Carol's life.
