Charles Eader Obituary
Charles proudly served in the Navy from 1956 to 1960. After his service, Charles embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver, working tirelessly for over 45 years. He was known for his reliability and dedication, earning the 1988 Driver of The Year Award for Ryder Trucking Company. Charles will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and love for his family.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Ethel Jerlean "Jerri" Eader; four children: Charles E. Eader, Jr., Martin Eader and his wife Claudette, Denise Eader, Kenneth Brown and his wife Melissa; his brothers and sister: Robert Eader, James Eader, and Joyce Sexton; five grandchildren: Michael Kretzer, Marsh Hock, Martin Eader, Christopher Mallick, Madison Hockenberry, Tyler Brown; four great-grandchildren: Kinsley Kretzer, Miles Kretzer, Isabella Mallick, and Booker Mallick. He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Cornett.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Hilton Funeral Home 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD 20838 where a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Monocacy Cemetery, 19801 W Hunter Road, Beallsville, MD. A reception will be held following the Saturday services at the Upper Montgomery County Fire Department in Beallsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, 19801 Beallsville Road, Beallsville, Maryland 20839. Charles Eugene Eader, Sr.
