Connie Stover Obituary

Connie J. Stover of Wolfsville, MD passed on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Doey's House in Hagerstown, MD.

Born in Myersville, MD on May 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George Sterling Eldridge and Catherine Barbara (Kline) Eldridge.

She graduated from Middletown High School, was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and adored the Church Sunday School Class.

Connie loved her family and her community; she always put others before herself. Her sweet and gentle nature made her loved by many. She had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed time with gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother as well as an avid animal lover; most recently her cat Shadow.

She is survived by her husband Harold G. Stover Sr., her children Harold G. Stover Jr. (wife Amy), Barbara J. Weddle (Billy) and grandchildren Connor Stover, Morgan Weddle, and Caity Stover; sister Janice Snyder (Bill) and loving aunt Vera Morgan.

Services will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11am at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wolfsville, MD. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD. Doors will be open during the afternoon.
