Daniel Roberts Obituary

Mr. Daniel Joseph Roberts, 17, of 10730 Daysville Road, Frederick, died Thursday, Aug. 6, at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore.

Born Jan. 15, 1981, in Frederick, he was the son of Joe and Jan Fleming Roberts of Frederick.

Mr. Roberts would have entered his senior year at Walkersville High School where he was involved in the drama club, and played football and baseball.

He loved to fish, camp, dance and sing Karaoke.

He worked as a mower for Northern Landscaping, Thurmont.

Surviving in addition to his parents are one sister, Jenny Roberts McKinney of Walkersville; one brother, David Roberts of Frederick; paternal grandmother, Aravilla Roberts of Walkersville; maternal grandparents, Woody and Jo Fleming of Rockville; and many aunts and cousins.

Mr. Roberts will also be remembered by many friends including Josh Beaton, Darren Wood, Eric Turvin, Eddie Blank, Bret DeMeza, Lucas Putman, Larry Fellows, Greg Cutchins and Tanya Jackson.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Libertytown.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Calvary Assembly of God, Walkersville, with the Rev. Ralph Campbell, church pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Chapel Cemetery, near Libertytown.

The family requests memorial contributions to Daniel Roberts Fund, c/o Fredericktown Bank & Trust Co., Walker's Village, Walkersville, Md. 21793; or to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, 22 S. Greene St., Baltimore, Md. 21201-1595.
