Dawn Warnert Obituary
Born July 25, 1933 in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Margaret Leffler Custer.
Mrs. Warnert served her country as an airman in the U.S. Navy. She retired as an officer programs manager with Civil Service after 28 years.
She is survived by four children, Scott Thomas Vanderwarf of North Lauderdale, Fla., Julia Lynn Halusa and husband Goran of Frederick, Rex Alan Warnert and wife Maria and Noel Kelly Warner and wife Tabby, all of Walkersville; ten grandchildren; one brother James Custer; and three sisters Barbara Zimmer, Kathy Mc Clane and Brenda Gordon.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, Md., on Saturday, January 21, from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Interment will be private.
