Debbie Baxter

Debra Lynn Baxter, of Thurmont, passed away at home on September 24, 2017 surrounded by family. It was Debbie's 60th birthday.

Born in Montgomery County, MD, she was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Cole of Germantown and the late William E. Cole. Debbie loved beaches, Bingo and thrift shopping. She also loved spending time with her family and taking care of people.

Debbie was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Cole. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children, Gary Baxter & wife Ashley of Centreville, MD, Brandy Stayman & husband Devin of Falling Waters, WV, and Michelle Cole of Poolesville, MD; siblings, William Cole & wife Yvonne of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Cameron-Decubellis & husband Greg of Gaithersburg, Michael Cole & wife Charlene of Hagerstown, MD, Matthew Cole & wife Janice of Damascus, MD, half brother Tom & wife Stephanie Pelka-Cole, and half sister Maryann Cole, of Ohio; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 29th at Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, MD, the Rev. Danny Moore officiating. Interment will take place at Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville, MD, with reception at Barnesville Baptist Church following. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's memory may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
