Donald Shook Obituary
Donald proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. During his enlistment he served with the United States Marines in Okinawa. He Was also a member of the Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 142 and a member of the American Legion Post 11.
Donald worked in sales at Wachter Brothers for 30 years. He would then work at SAIC in Fort Detrick until his retirement in August of 1997. He was avid football fan, who enjoyed watching many different teams. He enjoyed his country and gospel music. He was also a Baltimore Orioles fan. Donald enjoyed completing word search puzzles. He was a former member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by, his children; Donald P. Shook, Jr. (Laura Rogers) and Cathy L. Boyd (Frank), and his granddaughter Angela LaGrange (Adam). In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Delores Shook.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, on Friday June 23, 2023 from 12pm until the start of the funeral service at 2pm. Interment is to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Donald P. Shook, Sr.

Donald was our neighbor for many years and a true gentleman. He was so genuine in all his ways, never a harsh word, always smiling and happy. We will miss him dearly for he has left an indelible void on our lives. Go fly with the angels Donald. Rest in peace . From Danny and Anita.

My husband and I are very sorry for the loss of Donald. As the Property Manager of Frederick Villas I knew him to be a very sweet man. He will truly be missed.
