Mr. Gregory "Greg" J. Gaither went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2014. Born July 25, 1951 in Frederick, he was the son of John Gaither (Patricia) of Frederick, MD and the late Mary Jo Smith-Gaither.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory: one brother, Eric Johnson of Rockville, MD; two sisters, Vanessa Barnette (Alton) of California and Nicole Harbison of Charlotte, NC; one step brother, Barrington Hill (Hope) Allensville, KY; two aunts, Shirley Keys of Walkersville, MD and Virginia Gaither of Rockville, MD; one sister-in-law, Janet Gaither of Beckley, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends at the Way Station; and devoted friends, Chuck Foreman, Ronnie Proctor, Dexter Makel, Clarence (Petey) Cooper, and Michael Weedon.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lamont Gaither, and a sister, Candice Gaither-Benn.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Quinn Chapel AME Church, 106 East 3rd Street, Frederick, MD. Pastor Luke J. Robinson, officiating.

I remember him when I was little, he always took my brother and myself to the corner and told us to get whatever we wanted. I seen him even in my teenage years he never forgot who I was or my name. Even as a grown woman every single time I seen Greg he always asked me how I was and how my mom and brother were doing. THAT MAN WAS THE SWEETEST PERSON I KNEW, YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED GREG!!!
