Harry Fleming Obituary
Marshall was born on September 20, 1935, in Poplar Springs, Maryland, to Harry Marshall Fleming and Marguerite Frances (King) Fleming in the home of his grandfather, John Denton Fleming, and his great-aunt, Flora Amelia Fleming.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Jane (Bowman) Fleming; two sons, Jonathan Russell Fleming and his wife, Stephanie, and Franklin Marshall Fleming, all of Poplar Springs. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Steven Marshall Fleming and his wife, Amy (Sonntag) Fleming, and Jaimie Michelle (Fleming) Shirokobrod and her husband, Gene Shirokobrod. His great-grandchildren, Aaron Jonathan Shirokobrod, Zoe Marguerite Shirokobrod, Robert Marshall Fleming, and Elizabeth Rose Fleming, were the light of his life. Marshall's family was completed by his loyal granddog, Cooper.
Marshall's legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family and community will forever be remembered by all who knew him. A true example of kindness, hard work, and commitment, he leaves behind a lasting impact on his family, friends, and the Poplar Springs community.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM; with a Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company Memorial Service at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Poplar Springs U.M. Church, 915 East Watersville Road, Mt. Airy, MD., 21771.
Interment Poplar Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, his family ask for donations to be made to the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company.
