Jacqueline Danforth Obituary

Mrs. Jacqueline Belle Danforth, 74, of Thurmont, passed away peacefully at Frederick Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 7, 2005. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Born May 12, 1930, in New Castle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Hobert Leslie and Wava Corbin Harrison. Among her hobbies were cooking, baking, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Shane Dennison of Frederick, Sheila Dennison of Germantown, Kim Strickland and her husband David of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Denise Brady of Thurmont; eight grandchildren, Jason Dennison, Lisa Dennison, Jessica Strickland, Dane Brady, Deven Brady, Jacqueline Brady, Emily Dennison and Rachel Dennison; and one great-grandson, Braeden Bartrum. She is also greatly missed by her former husband, Charles E. Dennison of Frederick. Mrs. Danforth was preceded in death by her brother, Gayle Harrison, and her husband, Gorham C. Danforth.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. 15 N. in Frederick. Chaplain Mary Ann Brahm will officiate. A private committal service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ambulance service of Guardian Hose Co., 21 N. Church St., Thurmont, MD 21788. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody P.A. in Frederick.
