James Shields Obituary
Jim was extremely dedicated to his faith and was a huge influence to others in his life. He was always there to guide anyone in any time of need and was dedicated to his fiancee Karen Coates. He enjoyed nature and singing along to his favorite songs.
Jim was a self-taught Carpenter and took much pride in his work. He was an active member of The Damascus Road Community Church.
Jim is survived by his loving fiancee Karen Coates: son Douglas Shields(Nicole); step-daughter, Britney Anderson (Steve); grandson Steven "Little Feller" Anderson; sister Priscilla Waldman (Rodger); Rick Barnstein brother-in-law, nieces Jessica, Amber, Samantha, and 5 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father James Shields Sr., mother Gaye Miller Shields, sister Jenny Bernstein, and nephew Leif Shock III.
Jim absolutely adored spending time with his grandson Steven "Little Feller", taking him to explore nature, focusing on his faith, and singing his favorite songs.
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, at Stauffers Funeral Home in Frederick, Maryland. Friends and family are welcome from 11am to 1pm, and the Funeral will begin at 1pm.
All donations can be sent to Britney Anderson PO Box 1340 Frederick, Md 21702 for expenses.

Jim was my brother from another mom he help me why l had cancer and sends so many prayers my way. We also talked about life, he would help any one he new he could not work any more but he would anyway .Rip my friend Bonnie Imes
