Jane Thomas Obituary
Mrs. Thomas graduated from Lee County High School in Auburn, Alabama and attended Auburn University. She was married on September 4, 1947. She was a member of Walkersville United Methodist Church and was a regular attendee of the Bible Study Class. Mrs. Thomas was a Girl Scout leader, an artist, and avid gardener and showed dogs. She was a member of the Potomac Valley Bernese Mountain Dog Club, the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America and the Catoctin Kennel Club.
She is survived by her children, Harvey Lee Thomas, Jr. and his wife Pamela and Linda T. Aikey as well as her grandson Warren Aikey and wife Rebecca and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 11:00 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick.

We met Jane years ago when we joined the Potomac Valley Berner club. She and Harvey were great hosts and I still have some of her art work. What a great lady. Robin Korotki and Elaine Genendlis

Jane was a lovely and generous- hearted woman with lots of sparkle. I met Jane and Harvey in the late eighties when I came down to the Frederick area from Bucks County ,PA, to show in the Berner ring. How welcome she made me feel. Jane and Harvey even braved a thunderstorm to cheer on the Berners with other PV members. Moving here about ten years later, I had the good fortune to get to know Jane better and to share good times together. Jane was always a delight to have by your side and also a very bright and capable woman. We will all miss her.

Jane is integral with fond memories of our early days at PVBMDC events. She was always smiling and welcoming and happy to share stories about her Berner companions. We treasure a water color she did that hangs in our kitchen, and remember the beautiful needlework she did for our show trophies. We miss her.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother, Jane. Her wonderful and generous spirit and her beautiful art works that I cherish will keep her in my memory always. Our world will be lessened with her passing.. but I am sure that she will keep Heaven entertained for all Eternity. Rest in Peace and be reunited with your loving husband Harvey.
