Kathleen Scott Obituary

Mrs. Kathleen Ferry Scott, 66, of Thurmont, died Thursday, Oct. 14, at her home.

She was the wife of Richard D. Scott, to whom she was married nearly 43 years.

Born June 12, 1933, in Jacksonville, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Frances and Margaret Davison Ferry.

Mrs. Scott was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Thurmont.

She was retired from NVR Building Products, Thurmont, after many years of service.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Kim Krask and husband Bob of Virginia Beach, Va., Melanie Williamson and husband Dave of Frederick, Kevin Scott and wife Kelly of Rock Hill, S.C., Sean Scott and wife Paula of Schuylerville, N.Y., Marc Scott and wife Carrie of Bowie, and Jeffrey Scott and wife Anne of Rock Hill, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Emily and Michael Williamson, Matthew and Julie Krask, Justin and Austin Scott, Nicholas and Bennett Scott; one sister, Eileen Ferry, and one brother, Bill Ferry, both of Jacksonville.

She was preceded in death by one son, Steven L. Scott.

The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, on Friday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Thurmont, with the Rev. Leo Titler as celebrant.

Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, N. Church St., Thurmont, Md. 21788.
