Linda Mock

1945 - 2024

Linda Marie Mock, 78, of Rocky Ridge, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in her home. She was the loving, devoted widow of James (Jimmy) Mock, who preceded her in death in December, 2018. Born on June 4, 1945, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl Droneburg and Ella Elizabeth (Snyder) Murphy.

Linda formerly lived in Frederick, MD, where she and Jimmy lived for all of their married lives. She enjoyed spending time with her unconditional best friend, "Sister" Helen, doing puzzles and crocheting. She would crochet blankets for new babies coming into the family and friends. Later, she decided to crochet blankets to donate to unwed mothers through various charities. She also enjoyed her travels with Jimmy, and playing poker with family.

Linda is survived by three children: Robert Mock and wife, Annie, Terry (Brigham) Mock, and Dawn Mock and fiance Jeff Hood; 10 grandchildren: Steven Brigham (Faith), Andrew Brigham (Julie), Robert J. Mock (Chelsea), TJ Leopold (Kayla), Daniel Brigham, Matthew Mock (Shawna), Jessica Sealock (Shawn), Brittany Sourbier (Jordon), Kacie Cohen (Ryan) and Cody Prince as well as 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Chick and wife Linda, a sister-in-law Sylvia Mock and her life time sister-like best friend, Helen Smith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ella "Sweetie" Breckenridge.

Dawn and Jeff would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the private care givers: Laurie, Becca, Jenn and Little Dawn as well as to Linda's cardiac doctor of 40 years, Dr. Barakat, and his office staff, Wendy and Sarah. Because of them, we got many more years with Mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 28 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Church, 10043 Longs Mill Road, Rocky Ridge, MD 21778. For those wishing to send flowers, please send to 15320 Bollinger Road, Rocky Ridge, MD 21778, not the event venue.
