The most important experience for me at Mt Ida was meeting my forever Friend, Marilyn. She was just eighteen and a pleasure to know. We had a lot of fun going to " Mixers" at Harvard, Boston College and many activities provided by Mt. Ida. Marilyn was well liked and earned the honor of being elected to the May Court!!
Marilyn's Mom, Mrs. Goldberg gifted me with a dress for graduation when she found out I didn't have one. I also had no Family to celebrate with so the Goldberg Family included me in their plans.
Marilyn and I never lost touch with each other through the years. Whenever I needed a chat Marilyn was always there. I know you are at peace my dear Friend, but it is going to be so hard not hearing your sweet and reassuring voice. All my thoughts and prayers go out to Amy , Paul, Scott and grandkids.

Marilyn was an authentically, warm, generous and a caring friend with room for many in her heart! She always started out our conversations with how are you even when she was sick.
She shared with me her deep love for her family, grandchildren and extended family. I loved being able to see the sweet hugs with her grandchildren. She was so proud of her family's accomplishments and interesting careers, she loved them dearly. I know I will miss my time with her as so many will and so thankful for our time spent together.

Marilyn was a lovely, kind person who was always looking out for others. She was a gracious hostess, warm and friendly to everyone. Our neighborhood will surely miss her presence but we will remember her always. Celebrate a life well lived and loved by all.

Marilyn devoted her thoughts and energy to others. Not only had she cared for her aging parents but she also ensured her 3 aunts and mother in law were in good hands and surrounded by love as they each grew older. She thrived on the updates from family and friends and gave attention, love, and hugs to her 6 grandchildren as well as extended family, ensuring each would know they held a special place in her heart. Her upbeat manner, easy smile, and ever present kindness was a gift to all in her presence and will always be remembered.

Marilyn was a lovely lady. She was so welcoming to me when I became part of this amazing family and she was so kind, so intelligent, and so interesting to talk to. I enjoyed our conversations at family events. I will always have such great memories. Condolences to Amy and Paul and family. A true gem is no longer with us. Love, Joanie
