Mildred Cartee

1928 - 2025

Mildred K. Cartee , 97, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of the late John E. Cartee her husband of 65 years,who died in 2021.

Born on January 16, 1928, in Walkersville, Maryland, she was the daughter of John Charles Keller and Helena Leatherman Keller.

In her 20's, Millie worked for Ox Fibre Brush Company and was the Controller at Frederick Motor Company for more than 50 years.

She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick and of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks #684. Millie was also a member of the Frederick Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary and served as treasurer for many years. In addition to her volunteer service, she enjoyed traveling with her husband John, as well as reading.

She is survived by her sister, Charlotte K Jones, nephew, Charles P. Jones, II and wife Amy; great-niece, Rachel Stroh and husband Dave, great-nephew, Charles P. Jones, III; and great-great niece, Cara Jones.

Graveside services and inurnment will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.
