Patricia Denise Mote

Miss Patricia Denise Mote, 31, of Frederick, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, peacefully at her residence. Denise was born in Frankfurt, Hessen Germany, Oct. 2, 1976, the daughter of David Lynn Mote Sr., of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Ute (Laucht) Cassidy and her husband, Kevin F. Cassidy, of Frederick.

She graduated from high school in Georgia and was certified as a dental assistant at Hagerstown Business College. She has been associated with the office of Dr. John Kovitch, D.D.S.

Denise had a zest for life and had many dreams and goals yet to be achieved. She was a devoted mother, loved her family, and enjoyed her many friendships. Her beautiful smile and loving heart touched everyone she met.

In addition to her mother, step-dad and father, she is survived by her son, Jaden Tyler Nichols of Frederick; one brother, David L. Mote Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C.; paternal grandmother, Allynee M. Hendren of Winston-Salem, N.C.; maternal grandparents, Werner and Elfriede Laucht of Weimar, Germany; as well as extended family, including aunts, uncles and cousins here and in Germany. She is also remembered by Jaden's father, John L. Nichols of Sykesville, his parents, Faye and Leroy Nichols of Port Orange, Fla., and their family.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the commencement of memorial services at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 131 W. Second St., Frederick. The Rev. Katherine A. Heflin, will officiate. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the "College Access 529 Plan" for Jaden Tyler Nichols, c/o Smith Barney, ILM Group, 30 W. Patrick St., 7th floor, Frederick, MD 21705.
