Condolences to the family of Ralph Brown. I met him at his gun store in Jefferson in 1970 shortly after being discharged from active duty in the United States Navy in June. His store was a wonder. Lots to look at, but with wages of $7.50 per hour all one could do was look and admire. Did that lots of times. Also found out that he lived just a few houses down from the store. Thank goodness. As in April, 1972 on our way to Harpers Ferry for my honeymoon which included fishing the Potomac River I realized that my bride didn't have a fishing license so we stopped in Jefferson and knocked on his door. I told him what the situation was, and he graciously interrupted what he was doing. We walked down the street to get the license.
A few years later he sold the gun shop and became a very successful Frederick County realtor.

Please accept my condolences to All His Families.
In the 1970's, Ralph gave me a job in his Real Estate Office (Brunswick); which helped me get back in the work force. My husband and I purchased our first home from Ralph with his help. He was a great man and will surely be missed by lots of his acquaintances over the years. His family will definitely have lots memories in the coming years. May God Bless You ALL!

Don't know Mr.Brown at all but I just happened to read the short story of his life and I was pretty amazed by the amount of things he did just in the little bit of words you had to pay dearly for. Sounds like he had a full life with lots of friends and family. Sorry for your loss and I'm sure he was as content as could be during his final nap. What a nice way to go if you have to go. R.I.P.
