Randy Bottomly Obituary

Randy Lee Bottomly born on April 14th, 1957 better known as Uncle Randy to most of the amazing people he had in his life, suddenly passed away on June 24th, 2024. Randy lived most of his life in the beautiful small town of Rocky Ridge located in Maryland. Randy left this Earth very unexpectedly, but is now at home in Heaven with his beautiful mother Alice Bottomly and his father Randolph Bottomly. He is also now reunited with his brother Danny Bottomly. Randy is survived by his sister Beverly Bottomly, his nieces Brooke Bottomly, Ashley Hanlon, and Nikki Bottomly along with his one handsome great nephew Jaylen Dotson. The unexpected passing of Randy has rocked us all who were closest to him and we know on the day Randy left this Earth all of our lives got a little dimmer, yet we know Heaven got a little brighter and funnier when he came home to Jesus. There was not a moment or conversation you could have had with Randy that did not end up with laughter at some point because he had the most special way to make simplistic and daunting subjects or conversations humorous. Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Randy worked for his family business Randy's Refrigeration up until the day he passed away. We are going to miss Randy immensely, but his spirit will live on everyday through everyone who knew him, sharing laughter and memories which we all hold so dearly to us in the short time we got to SHARE WITH Randy on this Earth. We know he is up in Heaven reunited with his mom, dad, and brother rejoicing at the reunion. Even through death we can find the light through the loss here on Earth while we remember and continue to remember Randy and how he touched all of our lives in a beautiful and funny way. A memorial service to celebrate Randy's life will be held on Saturday August 3, 2024 at the International Community Church, 123 Byte Drive Frederick, Maryland 21702. All are welcome starting at 10:00am with services beginning at 11:00am. Food and refreshments following after the memorial services. Online condolences may be expressed at barberfhlaytonsville.com. I am so saddened to hear of Randy´s passing. He was such a great guy. Always either laughing or smiling. I remember his red van and all of the great times we all had together with him. He went to Weight Watchers just to flirt with the girls! Lol. What a character he was. He will always be remembered as a great friend, especially to my brother Dave. I am so sincerely sorry for his sister Beverly and his uncle, and nieces. May he Rest In Peace!

Beverly: I so sorry for your loss. I too have lost my dear sweet brother Charlie Wood. When I heard the news from Marcia my first thought was that Charlie has his best friend back. Oh the days of Twinbrook. Charlie loved Randy especially when he´d back his red van up to our front door!! He took me and our friends to our first concert at the Cap Centre. Those were some good times. Much love my friend, Kitty

I´m sorry to hear about Randy´s passing. He was a neighbor of mine in Rockville, MD. I can remember he always had a smile on his face. May God comfort his family during this difficult time.
