Rebecca L. Iannucci

1928 - 2014

Rebecca Lois Himelright Iannucci, age 85, of Silver Spring, MD, and formerly of Hobe Sound, FL, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at her home.

She was born June 9, 1928, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Loring and Pearl Horner Himelright.

Rebecca grew up on a turkey farm in West Virginia. She graduated from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WVa., where she met her future husband, Frank Iannucci. Shortly after Frank left the Navy, the two were married and moved to Montgomery County, MD where they started a family, having three children. Rebecca worked for Montgomery County Adult Education as a program coordinator for many years. She loved the beach and spent a lot of time at Ocean City, MD, and actually moving to Hobe Sound, FL for a while. Rebecca loved sewing, spending time working in her yard, and visiting with relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Louis Iannucci in 2008. She is survived by her three children, Thomas Franklin Iannucci of Lisbon, MD, Kim Louis Iannucci and his wife Leslie Ann Iannucci of Sykesville, MD, Tresa Iannucci Johnson of Mt. Airy, MD; three grandchildren, Matthew Robert Johnson of Mt. Airy, MD, Natalie Rebecca Johnson of Mt. Airy, MD, and Emily Marie Iannucci of Sykesville, MD; and her beloved dog, Ginger.

Relatives and friends may call between 7 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. A funeral service will also be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 1 pm, at Rest Cemetery, Clear Brook, VA.
