Robert F. "Bob" Manahan Sr.

Robert "Bob" F. Manahan, Sr., age 69, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.

Born May 26, 1942 in Lantz, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Bowman) Manahan. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judy Elaine (Smith) Manahan.

Bob owned and operated Robert Manahan Construction Co. for 30 years and loved working everyday at his hobby with wood and trim detail. He was a life member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club, member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg, and enjoyed spending free time fishing and with family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Denise Ausherman and husband Curtis of Rocky Ridge, Robert Manahan, Jr. and wife Wanda of Gettysburg, Kevin Manahan and wife Lisa of Berryville, VA, Brian Mort and wife Crystal and David Mort and wife Leah both of Fairfield, PA; grand- children, Travis, Tyler, Trent, and Tanner Ausherman, Kayla, Sean, Myla, Brett, and Bryce Manahan, Steven, Megan, Darian, and Lucas Mort, Nichole, Josh, and Katelyn Gelles; great-grand- son, Jordan Ausherman; sib- lings, Richard Manahan and wife Patty of Sabillasville, Martin Manahan of Thurmont, Janet Jewell and husband Robert of

Thurmont, Betty Renner and husband Robert of Thurmont, Barney Manahan and wife Tina of Sabillasville. He was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Manahan; brother and sister-in-law Junior and Dolores Manahan and sister-in-law Rose Manahan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St., Emmitsburg with the Rev. Jon R. Greenstone officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7- 9 PM at the funeral home.
