Roger Webb Obituary

Mr. Roger Alvin Webb, 62, of Adamstown, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at home while surrounded by his family, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Patsy Ann Webb, his wife of 35 years.

Born Feb. 21, 1946, in Laytonsville, he was the son of the late Stewart E. Sr. and Mary M. Webb. Mr. Webb loved to rebuild and paint cars, and was an avid Redskins fan. He worked for Melco Paints and Drywall for many years. He also loved to barbecue, being around his family and doting on his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two children, Sandy Jenkins and husband, Randy, of Adamstown, and Steven Webb and wife, Farzana, of Monrovia; four stepchildren, Donna Thatcher and husband, Tracey, of Adamstown, Lisa Kidd and husband, Billy, of Gaithersburg, Carol Chandler of Jefferson, and Ronald Buffington of Gaithersburg; three brothers, John Webb and wife, Ruth, of Brunswick, Stewart Webb Jr. and wife, Margaret, of Urbana, and David Webb of Wheaton; three sisters, Mary Smith and husband, Charles, of Adamstown, Patsy Bloss of New York, and Vivian Painter and husband, Robert, of Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Kelly Webb of Frederick; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Webb; a brother-in-law, Wayne Bloss; and a stepson, Ralph Chandler.

Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Lynfield Event Complex, 10142 Hansonville Road, Frederick, where funeral services took place at 2 p.m. Friday at the complex.

Interment followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody, P.A., Frederick.
