Ruby Baer Obituary
Born March 23,1939 in Keymar, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward N. Remsburg and Mary A. (Young) Remsburg.
Ruby worked as a nursing assistant at Citizens Nursing Home, retiring after 20 years.
She loved going to the beach, crocheting, cooking and was known as the "Queen of Soup". Family and friends always said she should open her own restaurant and affectionately name it "Ruby's Kitchen."
Ruby was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Phillips and husband Silas (Jake), of Thurmont; daughter, Cynthia Tibbs and husband, Westley, of Jefferson; son Richard D. Baer, Jr. and wife, Julie of Middletown; five grandchildren, S. Jaymes Phillips, R. Andrew Phillips, E. Joel Phillips, H. Olivia Tousignaut, and Parker S. Baer; four great-grandchildren, Jalyn Bookhultz, Emma Phillips, Raelyn Phillips and Ian Tousignaut; and siblings, Barbara Pilson, Kenny Remsburg, Harold Remsburg and wife Mary, Joyce Roser and husband Charles (Butch), Gary Remsburg and wife Marge and sister-in-law Ann Fogle.
Ruby was preceded in death by her granddaughter Emily E. Zimmerman; and siblings Douglas Remsburg and Charlotte Lillard.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM February 8, 2019 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland. Funeral services will begin at 9: 30 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Todd Westphal officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

To Richie and your family,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Bill and I as you probubly know lost our mother around Thanksgiving last year so we know the pain you all are feeling. God says" come to me and I will give you rest" and I'm sure that will be the case with your mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very stressful time of loss.
