Sallie Rich Obituary
She was the wife of the late Orben Francis and the late Dan Rich.
Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Big Pool, she was a daughter of the late Richard Alvey and Cora Ellen Swandel Mills.
She worked for over 29 years at Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg, as a certified nursing assistant.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Jean Lease and husband Charles of Mount Airy; one son, Jerry Lee Francis of Washington state; two sisters, Frances Virginia Hottinger of Germantown, and Ina Mae Oden of Middlebrook; eight grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Pleasant View Nursing Home, 4101 Baltimore National Pike, Mount Airy, Md. 21771.
