Sandra McKenzie Obituary

Mrs. Sandra Alberta Mckenzie, 81, of Frederick, Md., died peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Kline Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Mckenzie.

Born on September 13, 1944, in Salisbury, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Dorothy (Housel) Swauger.

Surviving are her son Greg Mckenzie; daughter-in-law Stacy Mckenzie; grandchildren: Jake Mckenzie and Haley Mckenzie. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Joe Swauger, Shirley Kyle, and Linda Arnold; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother and sister: John Swauger and Nancy (Swauger) Boyce.

Sandy worked in the banking industry for many years until her retirement. She loved bingo, soap operas, the Game Show Network, French vanilla, and her dogs: Chico and Mickey. She loved her son Greg Mckenzie, who she lived with at the time of her passing. She loved her grandchildren Jake and Haley Mckenzie. She loved visits from her friends and nieces. Most of all she loved her husband Wayne Mckenzie, who she will be reunited with.

A private celebration of life will be held for her family at a later date in her hometown of Grantsville, Md. Memorial contributions can be made to Frederick County Hospice.
